Bradford the Musical – 17th February 2017
We are delighted to inform you that Bradford the Musical will be held at Bradford Forster Academy on Friday the 17th of February. This is a 40-minute professional performance of a brand new musical written by Bradford Secondary School pupils.
Performing Arts etc, on behalf of Bradford Music and Performing Arts Hub, worked with pupils from a number of secondary schools to devise a brand new musical. Featuring stories, experiences and issues from across Bradford District, the musical charts social history and tells the stories in the words of the teenagers involved.
Who is Performing Arts etc?
Performing Arts etc was founded by community musician Sam Dunkley to deliver high quality arts projects in schools and the wider community. They have led large scale songwriting projects in schools in Calderdale, North East Lincolnshire and East Riding of Yorkshire as well as Bradford. Performing Arts etc specialise in large scale collaborative projects, transition work and holiday provision, as well as putting on a musical in a week.
