Application for Parent Governor

We currently have TWO vacancies for parent governors on the Academy’s Governing Body and we would like to invite nominations. Any parent with a child on register at the Academy is eligible to become a parent governor. A parent is unable to be elected as a governor to the Academy if they work at Bradford Forster Academy for more than 500 hours in an academy year (at the time of election or appointment). As a governor we would ask you to be a critical friend that offers support, help, constructive advice and a second opinion on proposals and acts as a sounding board for ideas. The closing date for the nominations is 9am on the 16th December.

Progress Update Review

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended our Progress Update Review on Wednesday 16th November. If you were unable to attend, student reports will be posted home this week.  If you have any questions, please contact the Academy office.

Local Christmas Fayre

The Friends of Holme Wood are hosting a Christmas fayre for the local community at the youth centre on saturday 10th December between 12 and 3pm. They are looking for toys, gift sets, smellies and books etc to be donated for their bric-a-brac stall. All donations can be dropped off at the Holme Wood Library.
