Head of School’s WelcomeI am delighted to welcome you to the website for Bradford Forster Academy, which opened in September 2015 as a new 11-16 Church of England Academy, as part of the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust. We currently have 550 students on roll; 140 in Year 9, 195 in Year 8 & 215 in Year 7.
Bradford Forster Academy is an exceptional school, delivering high quality education for every student. Our aim is to prepare young people for a future in which they will be employable, ambitious, courteous and open minded. To achieve this, we provide an education that emphasises traditional standards of uniform, exemplary behaviour and respect.
Our Christian values, which were chosen by our students, and are also the names of our four houses are are Hope, Endurance, Forgiveness and Trust along with an ‘attitude of gratitude’ for our wonderful school and the excellent teaching, enrichment activities and facilities that we enjoy. We believe that these timeless values embody the way we should behave and treat each other in order to ensure a successful and happy school experience.
For us it is vital that we work in partnership with our parents and carers, as we recognise that you are the biggest influence on a young person and we want to work in partnership with you to support your child’s development. Together, the staff and students create a vibrant and engaging school where I know if you are a prospective parent or carer, your child will thrive. I look forward to meeting with you; if you would like any further information please contact the academy.
