Our Christian Ethos

BDAT is a proudly Christian organisation committed to providing high-quality education for all within an ethos which encourages academic, vocational, mental, physical, and spiritual opportunities and development for each member of its academies. Whilst robust Christian principles underpin the work of the Academy, everyone is encouraged to explore their own spirituality and to recognise and understand that of others. We believe that confidence in this important aspect of personal development, actively contributes to individual success in all areas of their life. We do actively communicate the teachings, principles and values which are so important to the Trust, and we also respect the right of every individual to investigate the religious and spiritual aspect of their own life and tradition. As a result of this ethos, all staff are fully committed to promoting the values and vision of the Christian faith and to secure its contribution to a student’s learning experience.

“The Trust aims to serve its communities by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils”

Our Prayer for Bradford Forster Academy

God of all,

Jesus taught us to trust You in all things, so

We bring before You our needs

We bring before You our hopes and dreams

We bring before You our fears and concerns

Thank You for this new day, each other,

our school and our community.

Our Prayer for Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust

Heavenly Father,

Grant your blessing to our Academies

And to all who are a part of their past, present and future.

We thank you for those who teach and those who support,

We thank you for those who build and those who maintain,

We thank you for those who guide and those who govern.

We thank you for those who give and those who receive.

May all be both learners and teachers.

We are grateful for the inspiration of those

Who have planned and built our family of Academies

And thereby opened doors and created opportunities

To the benefit of each person and the community.

We celebrate all that our Academies are and do.

May we continually serve you through service to each other

And our lives proclaim your love and care.
