At Bradford Forster Academy students come to PE for a two hour lesson each week. In PE our aim is to ensure learners:
- Develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
- are physically active for sustained periods of time
- engage in competitive sports and activities
- Lead healthy, active lives.
So far this year our students have participated in invasion games and health and fitness. Within our invasion games scheme of work we developed students: ball skills; including, dribbling, passing, receiving and control. Attacking and defending skills and their tactical Awareness. Within health and fitness our students have looked at how to test each component of fitness and then completed circuit training using different exercises to develop each type of fitness. Our students have also had the opportunity to create, design and lead their own circuit training to help each other improve on their fitness.
Still to come this year:
- Net and Wall Games
Our extra-curricular timetable includes both break time and after school activities and sports which all students are welcome to join.
- Netball/ Handball
